Persistence Pays

Confucius say “It doesn’t matter how slow you go, as long as you do not stop.”

This Mantra is about persistence. How do we persist and never give up despite obstacles on the way?

Often when we are focused on achieving a goal, a setback happens so how do we deal with this? The best is to reframe your thinking and change ‘all or nothing’ thinking by viewing setbacks as opportunities to learn. Remember small changes make a big difference and persistence really does pay off.

Ask any successful person about their personal journey and they will have had to overcome an obstacle of sorts.

Being consistent and persistent will slowly get you to your goal.

I will never forget my 92 year old grandmother’s words to me when things got tough while I was growing up. “If at first you don’t succeed try and try again.” Still, one of the sayings that are imprinted on my brain.

Don’t give up! Reframe and reappraise and cut yourself some slack. Slow and steady does indeed win the race.Just continue on your own path and acknowledge how far you’ve travelled already.

Take this week to really think about how far you’ve come. Recognition is a fantastic motivator and can be an inspiration to others.
